Merchy's Market is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of merchysmarket.com.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for improving accessibility for people with disabilities, across three levels: A, AA and AAA.

merchysmarket.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We completed a full accessibility audit of all pages on our site in August 2026 and are working through the findings.

Measures we have taken

• Commissioned a full WCAG 2.1 Level AA audit covering every page on the site
• Added visible keyboard focus indicators throughout
• Corrected colour contrast across the interface so text meets the 4.5:1 minimum
• Added a "Skip to main content" link on every page and a <main> landmark
• Added descriptive labels to form controls, buttons and links
• Added support for reduced-motion preferences
• Included accessibility checks in our development process so new pages are tested before release

Known limitations

We are honest about what is not yet fixed. As of September 22, 2026:

• Some text placed over background images or gradients does not yet meet our contrast target. We are correcting these as we refresh each affected section.
• We are completing manual keyboard and screen-reader testing of the product-customisation and checkout journeys, and will resolve any issues found on a rolling basis.

merchysmarket.com is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge; VoiceOver on macOS/iOS; NVDA and JAWS on Windows; keyboard-only navigation; and browser zoom up to 200%.
