You run the business. We run the shop.
Every Merchys account already has a shop attached to it. Set it up and you get your own storefront on Merchys Market - your logo, your products, your prices. We print, pack, ship, and handle the customer. You keep the difference.

A live Merchys shop. Scroll it - yours looks like this once it's set up.
A real storefront on the marketplace, not a link to a form.
Your shop is a permanent page on Merchys Market with your logo, cover photo, gallery, story, and products. It shows up in marketplace search and the Shops directory. Orders route straight to our production floor - the same floor that prints every Merchys job.
The Merchys Shop Program is a free online store on Merchys Market. You add your logo and pick the products you want to sell. We set the cost of each item, you set the retail price, and you keep the difference. We print every order in San Diego, pack it, ship it, and deal with the customer.
You never buy stock and you never hold any. Nothing gets made until somebody orders it. That is what makes it free to run: there is nothing to pay for until there is a sale.

Sell it at your price
We set the cost. You set retail on every item. The difference is yours - no listing fee, no monthly fee, no cut off the top.
Buy it cheaper than anyone
Shop accounts get a deeper discount on their own items. Restocks, staff orders, and event runs cost you less than a walk-in pays.
Or just open it to your team
Set it private and hand out the link. Staff, players, and members order their own sizes on their own card. You stop being the middleman.
Six steps from account to live shop.
All of it happens under Shop Manager inside your account. No separate application, nothing to install.
Open Shop Manager
Log in and go to Shop Manager. Your shop is already there, just unpublished.

That's the whole model - no listing fee, no monthly fee, no cut off the top of your margin. Move the numbers below and see exactly what a run makes you. These are real 2026 Merchys shop prices.
Prices reflect the 2026 Merchys shop price chart and are per piece unless noted. Blank cost varies by brand, color, and size - extended sizes and premium garments cost more. Embroidery shown at up to 10,000 stitches; add-ons like puff, specialty thread, and personalization are priced separately. Your final cost is confirmed in Shop Manager before anything publishes.
Your numbers
Price at cost instead
Set retail to your cost and the shop becomes a staff or member store - everyone gets Merchys wholesale and you do zero admin.
Or fund a program
A few dollars over cost turns every order into a fundraiser. Most school programs run 20-40% over and never touch a cash box.
Your margin lands in your wallet
It accrues as orders ship and sits there until you withdraw it - or turn on auto-pay and let it send itself. W-9 on file before the first payout.
The only things you might pay upfront.
No setup fee, no monthly fee, no listing fee. These are one-time, per-product, and every one of them is avoidable.
$20 product upload
Per product, and it covers us building your mockups in every color you want to sell that design in.
Waived if you've placed a custom order with Merchys first.
$10-$50 artwork
Only if your file isn't print-ready. We clean it up or rebuild it as a vector - priced on complexity.
$0 if you send us proper vector art (.svg, .ai, .eps, .pdf).
$30 digitizing
Embroidery only. One time per design, includes the sew out so you see it stitched before it runs.
Never again - the file stays on your account forever.
Patches are the one exception - they're stock, not a fee
Patches get made in a run, not one at a time, so a patch product starts with buying 100 at $3.50 each - $350.00. After that we sew them on one at a time as orders come in, and unused patches sit on your shelf for the next run. The calculator above shows exactly how many you need to sell to earn that money back.
You earn on your own sales - and on everyone you bring in.
Every account you introduce to Merchys is tied to you permanently. You earn 5% of everything they ever spend here - not just their first order, and not just merch from your shop.
How a referral actually plays out
Somebody buys a shirt from your shop. That's the introduction - and it's the last thing you have to do.
- They buy a $28 shirt from your shop. You keep your margin on it, the same as any sale.
- That purchase creates their Merchys account - tagged to you, permanently. No code to remember, no link to chase. It happens automatically at checkout.
- Six months later they order 500 branded polos for their own company. Nothing to do with your shop. You still earn 5% of that project.
- They open their own shop. Their staff order. They reorder every spring. You earn 5% of all of it, for as long as the account exists.
There's no cap and no expiry. One customer who turns into a corporate account can out-earn a year of shirt margin - and you did nothing after the first sale.
Money stays in your wallet until you move it. Withdraw whenever you want, or turn on auto-pay and stop thinking about it.
Everything lands in one wallet
Shop margin and referral commission accrue together as orders ship. Nothing is paid out automatically unless you ask it to be.
Withdraw on your schedule
Move it to your bank whenever the balance is worth moving. ACH to a linked account, or a check if you'd rather. A W-9 goes on file before the first one.
Or turn on auto-pay
Set a threshold and a day, and Merchys sends it without you logging in. Off by default - plenty of shops leave the balance sitting to cover their own restocks.
Four kinds of accounts, one shop program.
The setup is identical for everyone. What changes is what you point the shop at.
Sell your merch without buying a single box of it.
For apparel brands, artists, musicians, gyms, nonprofits, creators, and communities. Put your line up at your price, share one link, and let us make each piece as it sells. No 144-piece minimum to find out whether the design works.
- Try a design without a print run. Nothing gets made until someone buys it, so a design that misses costs you a $20 upload - not a box of shirts in the garage.
- Restock at your shop rate when a design takes off and you want stock in hand for a market or pop-up.
- You own the storefront look - cover photo, gallery, brand story, your own URL on the marketplace.
- Marketplace traffic on top of your own. Your shop is indexed and searchable.
- Drops and seasonal lines go up and come down whenever you want, no reprint commitment.
Add a merch line to the business you already run.
For boutiques, restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, salons, barbershops, tattoo shops - any storefront whose customers would wear the logo. Your merch lives online at your price while your shelf space stays free for what pays rent.
- No shelf space, no dead stock. Put a QR code on the counter and send walk-ins to the shop.
- Staff uniforms at your shop rate - same shop, priced at cost, new hires order their own sizes.
- Small runs for in-store stock whenever you want physical inventory, at your discount.
- One place for reorders. Your artwork stays on file, so a restock is a click, not a new quote.
- Local search visibility through your shop's SEO fields and the Shops directory.
Get out of the middle of your company's apparel.
For companies, franchises, contractors, agencies, real estate teams, and multi-location operations. Stop collecting sizes in a spreadsheet, fronting the money, and handing out boxes. Your people order what they need from an approved catalog.
- Brand control by design. Only approved products, only your approved logo. Nobody prints a rogue polo.
- Private or public. Lock it behind a link or password for internal pricing, or leave it open to clients.
- Company pays or employee pays. Price at cost and cover it, let staff pay, or subsidize the gap - per item.
- Ships to any address, so remote staff and job sites don't route through your office.
- Invoicing and net terms available on approved corporate accounts instead of card-only checkout.
A spirit store that funds the program wearing it.New
For high schools, districts, athletics and boosters, PTA and PTO, band, theater, robotics, cheer, clubs, colleges, and greek life. Price above our cost and every hoodie a parent buys sends the difference back to your program - no order forms, no cash box, no closet full of unsold shirts in August.
- We verify who owns the mascot before you launch. Most school logos belong to the district, not the team. We confirm it during review so nobody gets a cease-and-desist mid-season.
- We take purchase orders. Card-only checkout strands every school-funded order - staff apparel, issued gear, event shirts. Approved school accounts get POs and invoicing.
- Every program gets a store, whatever the roster size. Girls' golf gets the same storefront as varsity football, at no cost to either.
- Ship to families or consolidate to the school in one delivery, so parents aren't each paying shipping on one t-shirt.
- Private stores when the assortment is restricted - issued gear, staff-only apparel, or dress-code items behind a password.
- Open year-round or run a window. Preseason, homecoming, playoffs, and senior season each get their own push.

Where buyers check you're real before spending $54.
Every shop gets a review.
We look at every shop before it publishes. It isn't a judgment on your brand - it's the reason a customer can trust any shop on Merchys Market, including yours. It's also how we catch artwork problems that would otherwise show up as a bad print two weeks later.
Keep building while you wait. Nothing locks during review - add or edit products right up until we publish you.
What we're checking
- Artwork is print-ready at the size you placed it, in the decoration method you picked.
- Artwork is yours to use - your design, licensed, or authorized by whoever owns the mark.
- Photos are clear and show the product a customer is actually buying.
- Pricing works - nothing below our cost, nothing so far above it that it won't sell.
- Shop info is complete and the contact details are real.
- Nothing prohibited - no counterfeits, no third-party trademarks, no hate content.
Turned down for something fixable? You get the exact reason and can resubmit the same day. Most shops that don't pass the first time are back within 24 hours.
The things people ask first.
What does it cost to open a shop?
Nothing to open, nothing monthly, no listing fees. The only possible upfront costs are the $20 product upload (waived if you've ordered custom with us before), $10-$50 artwork cleanup if your file isn't print-ready, and $30 one-time digitizing on embroidery designs. All three are avoidable and all three are one-time.
What does the $20 product upload actually cover?
Per product, we build the mockups for that specific item in every color you want to sell it in - not one color, all of them. If you've already placed a custom order with Merchys, uploads are free.
Do I have to upcharge and make a profit?
No. Plenty of shops are priced at cost and exist purely so a team, staff, or membership can order their own gear without anyone in the middle. That's fully supported - you just skip the payout setup.
How much should I mark things up?
For fundraising and program stores, most people land 20-40% over cost - roughly $5 to $12 on a shirt, $10 to $20 on a hoodie. For brand and retail shops, doubling the cost is a normal starting point. Shop Manager shows your margin live as you set each price.
What's the minimum order?
One, on everything except patches. Products are made after they're ordered, so a customer can buy a single shirt and you never commit to a quantity. Prices per piece drop as volume goes up - the calculator above shows exactly where each tier lands.
How many products do I need to open a shop?
There's no minimum. One product is a shop. That said, shops with eight to twelve products convert noticeably better than shops with one or two - there's more reason for a visitor to look around. Start with whatever you have ready and add to it whenever you want; edits after launch go live immediately.
How do patches work?
Patches are the one thing you buy before you sell. They're produced in a run, so a patch product starts with a minimum of 100 patches at $3.50 each - $350 up front. After that we sew them on one at a time as orders come in, so your customers still buy single units and unused patches stay on the shelf for your next run.
Patches are sewn on rather than pressed, so the per-piece charge is $6.00 - $3.00 for the application and $3.00 for the sewing. That $350 is real money out before the first sale, so the calculator above shows your break-even: on a $28 shirt you're square at 23 sold and everything after that is margin. If you need more than 100 for a run, patches are bought in blocks of 100.
Can you just set the shop up for me?
Yes - $99 one time. Send us your logo and tell us what you want to sell, and we do all six steps: branding, shop details, SEO, and up to four products built, priced, and mocked up in every colour you're selling. We clean up your artwork as part of it, so there's no separate art charge. You review the finished shop and approve it, then it goes live.
Past four products, additional uploads are the standard $20 each.
How long does an order take to arrive?
Standard production is about two weeks from order to doorstep on most items. Embroidery and anything needing digitizing can run longer on the first order. Rush is available - ask before you promise a date to a customer.
I don't have a good logo file. Can I still open a shop?
Yes. Upload whatever you have - a screenshot, a JPG off your website, a photo of a sign. We rebuild it as print-ready vector art for $10-$50 depending on complexity. Send proper vector - .svg, .ai, .eps, or .pdf - and there's no charge at all. No logo at all? We'll design one - tell us during setup.
Can I keep my shop private?
Yes. A private shop stays out of the Shops directory and out of search, and only opens for people with the link or password. Companies use it for internal pricing, schools use it for issued gear and staff apparel.
Who handles customers, returns, and problems?
We do. Orders, shipping notifications, and support all run through Merchys. If we misprint something or a garment comes through defective, we replace it at our expense. Wrong size ordered by the customer is handled case by case.
Can we pay by purchase order?
Approved corporate, school, and district accounts can order on a PO with invoicing and terms instead of a credit card. Ask us to set it up - it's separate from your shop and doesn't slow down your launch.
Our school logo - do we actually own it?
Frequently not. For most public schools the mark belongs to the district or the state, and a booster club or coach can't authorize it alone. We check during review and tell you exactly whose sign-off we need. It takes a few days once, then it's on file permanently.
How does the 5% referral work?
Every account that comes to Merchys through you is tagged to you permanently, and you earn 5% of everything that account ever spends here - their custom orders, their own shop's production, their reorders. Not just their first purchase, and not just merch bought from your shop.
Anyone who buys from your shop is tagged automatically at checkout - there's nothing for them to enter and nothing for you to chase. For people who haven't bought from you, there's a referral link in your account.
How long does the referral last?
For the life of the account. No cap, no expiry, no annual reset. A customer who buys one shirt and two years later becomes a corporate account is still earning you 5% on every order they place.
How do I actually get the money out?
Shop margin and referral commission both accrue in your Merchys wallet as orders ship. The money sits there until you do something with it - nothing is sent automatically unless you switch it on.
You can withdraw to a linked bank account whenever you like, or turn on auto-pay: pick a threshold and a day, and Merchys sends the balance without you logging in. Auto-pay is off by default, and plenty of shops leave the balance sitting because they use it to cover their own restocks and staff orders at shop rate. A W-9 has to be on file before the first payout.
Can I change prices or products after I launch?
Any time, and it goes live immediately. Only brand-new artwork gets re-reviewed, and that's a quick artwork check, not a full re-review of the shop.
Your shop is already there. Go turn it on.
About an hour of setup, two business days of review, and you have a storefront on Merchys Market with your name on it.
