Rush Orders

A Rush Order at Merchy’s means any job that must be completed sooner than our standard turnaround time. Key components include:

  • Screen Printing or Embroidery orders needing completion earlier than our normal schedule

  • All required design files must be final and approved before work begins

  • Yes we still need approval for rush jobs, if you request to skip that step you risk getting what you want

  • Apparel styles, sizes, color choices, and materials must be confirmed

  • Required deposit) must be made upfront

  • Any necessary shipping or express delivery for supplies must be arranged

How Merchy’s Handles Rush Orders

Prioritization Process

  1. Artwork/Design Approval: Rush jobs cannot start until all artwork is final and approved. Changes after approval may delay the schedule.

  2. Scheduling Adjustment: We adjust our production schedule to give priority to Rush Orders over non-urgent ones.

  3. Resource Allocation: Additional labor or shifts may be scheduled, and express sourcing of blanks or materials if needed.

  4. Quality Control: Even though the timeframe is shorter, we maintain full quality control—checking print alignment, color accuracy, and embroidery stitching.

  5. Communication: We’ll keep you informed if there are any issues that could compromise your deadline (material delays, capacity constraints, etc.).

Fees and Timeline Options

We offer a tiered fee structure for rush jobs—each level represents how many business days sooner than usual your order is needed. Here’s a sample of how fees often scale in the industry, which Merchy’s uses similarly to calculate our rush fees:

Rush Level

Example Turnaround

Typical Fee Over Standard Price*

Mild Rush

25% faster

+25 % total cost

Moderate Rush

50% faster

+50% total cost

Severe Rush

2 Days (DTF ONLY)

+100% total cost

How to Request a Rush Order at Merchy’s

Here are the steps we’ll need:

  1. When placing your order, indicate that it’s a Rush Order and provide your deadline / “in-hand by” date.

  2. Submit final artwork/design files (vector preferred, high-resolution images accepted).

  3. Confirm apparel styles, colors, sizes, etc., and ensure blanks are in stock or sourceable.

  4. Make full payment or required deposit before we can begin production.

  5. Approve proof promptly once it’s supplied. Delays in these steps may push back completion.

Things to Keep in Mind (Before You Rush)

  • Even with a Rush Order, some factors may delay your order outside of our control (e.g. material backorders, shipping delays, or unexpected capacity issues). We’ll notify you if any such risks arise.

  • Rush fees are non-refundable—because of the resources and scheduling we commit right away.

  • If you frequently place rush orders, lead times may adjust, particularly during busy seasons.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How fast can a Rush Order be completed?
A: It depends on how far ahead of standard schedule you need it. Typically, we offer options like 5-7 days sooner, 3-5 days sooner, 1-2 days, or sometimes even 24-hour turnaround after all approvals. In urgent cases, we’ll discuss feasibility.

Q: What fees will I pay for rushing my order?
A: Rush fees are calculated as a percentage over our standard pricing, depending on how much faster you need delivery. Examples might be +10% for moderate rush, up to +50% for a next-day turnaround. The exact fee will depend on the job’s complexity, quantity, print method (screen printing vs embroidery), and apparel availability.

Q: Does the Rush Order fee include shipping?
A: No. Rush fees cover expedited production only. If express shipping or expedited material sourcing is needed, those costs will be added separately.

Q: When does the turnaround “clock” start?
A: The turnaround begins once we have all final artwork/design approvals, your chosen apparel styles & sizes confirmed, and required payment/deposit is made. Until then, we cannot guarantee the expedited schedule.

Q: What happens if you can’t meet my requested deadline?
A: If we determine ahead of production that your deadline may not be met—even with a rush fee—we’ll let you know right away. In such cases, we’ll work with you to find the best alternative (e.g. a revised deadline, different apparel styles, or alternate shipping).

At Merchy’s, we strive to make rush orders work without sacrificing the quality you expect from our custom apparel printing services. If you’re facing a tight timeline, let us know as early as possible so we can provide clear options—and get you looking great on time.
